Australian Simone Pearce has finished fifth with No Limit in the First Qualification for 5-Year-Old-Horses at the FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo, the Netherlands.

A classy field of 43 horses lined up for the first round, where Simone and No Limit scored an impressive 88%. This included a huge 9.2 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 8.8 for canter, 8.3 for submission and 9.2 for perspective. It was a PB for the combination, who have only been together since June.

Owned by the Ritzinger family, No Limit is a Westfalen gelding bred by Marcel Roerdink of the Netherlands, by Geniaal (Vivaldi) out of Florina (Florestan I). Emily Reudavey is his groom for the World Championships.

Denmark’s Valerie B, ridden by Anne-Mette Strandby Hansen, won the class with a score of 94.8%. Sweden’s Skyline to B and Carl Hedin were second on 89.6, while Denmark’s Quinn G and Betina Jaeger were equal third on 88.2% with Germany’s Beck’s and Thomas Schulze.
