Tom McDermott dominates day two at the Australian Jumping Championships

Wednesday at the Australian Jumping Championships kicked off with the sport’s future equine stars in action for the Coolmore Australia Futurity – Round 1 (Art. 238 2.1). This class was won by Krescendo, ridden by Tom McDermott. Samantha Dernee was second with Laurel Glen Quintessence, while James Arkins finished third riding Braveheart R.

The second class on the main arena today was The Riders’ Cup – Round 1 (Art. 239), and it was another win to Tom McDermott – this time with Cadenza NZPH. Rebecca Jenkins was second aboard Incredible C, while Thomas Sedger finished third on Elmo.

Over in arena two, Tom McDermott’s name featured again – however this time it was as the sponsor of the Australian Children’s Championship – Round 1 (Art. 238 2.1). This class was won by James Hosie and Aces Tulara Devine.

The JPR Equestrian Sapphire Series – Round 1 (Art. 238 2.2) went to William Wood and Powerhouse Park Ego Roc, while the Opal Series for Young Horses 6 Years Old & Under – Round 1 (Art 238 2.1) was won by Ella O’Neill and KR Killings.

Competition continues tomorrow through until Sunday.
