Megan Jones and Toulando will be the first Australian combination into the dressage arena for the CCIO4*S Nations Cup at Haras de Jardy in France, with the pair set to ride at 4.21pm local time on Thursday (12.21am AEST Friday).

Toulando is an 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Toulon x Calando I) who is owned by Megan and groomed by Chloe Wydra. Although originally bred in Germany, it will be Toulando’s first FEI start on European soil since recently travelling from Australia.

Rebecca Braitling and Caravaggio are next for the Australian team at 5.46pm local time Thursday (1.46am AEST Friday) and will be the last combination to compete on the first day of dressage. Caravaggio is a 12-year-old British Sport Horse gelding (Courtesan x Handstreich), and is owned by Arnell Sporthorses and Lauren Burnell.

In the second half of the dressage draw, Kevin McNab will ride Willunga at 10.33am Friday (6.33pm AEST) as the anchor for the Australian team. Willunga (Olympic Lux x Coevers Diamond Boy) is a 16-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding owned by Samia Murgian in conjunction with Kevin’s wife, Emma McNab.

Megan Jones is also entered as an individual rider on RLE Barina, with the pair riding their test at 12.06pm local time on Friday (8.06pm AEST). Barina is a 14-year-old Holsteiner mare (Cosido x Cosimo) who is owned by Megan; like Toulando, it’ll be her first start on European soil with Megan in the saddle.
