Dorothee Schneider will not compete on Showtime FRH at the German Championships, and instead will ride her other Grand Prix horse — Sammy Davis Jr.
Showtime was Schneider’s mount at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where they were part of the gold medal winning German team. The horse is yet to reach top form again following an injury, and has only competed twice since the Olympics — the last time being the end of 2017.
The German Championships will be used to determine who will make up the German Nations Cup team at Aachen CHIO in July.
Showtime has not been ruled out of WEG, depending on how his recovery progresses.
