CDI Hagen is underway at Hof Kasselmann in Germany, with Will Matthew placing fourth in the CDI1* Prix St Georges on Thursday with nine-year-old mare Annamira. The pair scored an impressive 70.245%.

Annamira (Fiderbach x Argentinus) is owned by Olivia Vliek.

Fellow Aussie Ashlie Waters and Gut Neuenhofs Eleganze finished in tenth place, scoring 68.48%, with the pair facing some challenges with the weather later in the draw. The class was won by Germany’s Frederic Wandres and Quizmaster FRH on 75.588%.

Friday will see the Grand Prix riders in action, with the CDI4* Grand Prix divided into two classes: one to qualify for the Special and one to qualify for the Freestyle.

The CDI4* Grand Prix (qualifier for the Special) includes the following Australian rides:

Jemma Heran and Total Recall: 9.18pm AEST Friday

Will Matthew and Mysterious Star: 9.54pm AEST Friday

Warwick McLean and Hendrix 11: 12.12am AEST Saturday

As a CDI4* it’s an Olympic qualifier, so good luck to all!
